I ATE HERE on Thursday, and was very impressed. Fresh, tasty, and extremely fast (four registers working side-by-side). As I was eating I thought, "This place is like Pret for sushi," so I suppose I should not have been surprised to learn it's a London company. Only location in the States is at World Financial Center in NYC, but here's hoping one comes to a location near you soon.

Sushi Samba
While facilitating a meeting last week in
Chicago I had occasion to eat at Sushi Samba (504 North Wells / 312.595.2300). It’s fusion to the tune of
Peruvian / Japanese (you read that right). It’s actually an excellent
combination: the food was delicious, and was nicely complemented by the
extraordinarily good service and the hip atmosphere (which you are paying for
to some extent). Near the Loop, with other locations in New York and Miami. Worth adding to your “Restaurants to Visit” list.
