Two processed shots from my attempts at the Great Orion Nebula the other night. Both have a slight bump; not certain if that was me or the shutter / lens reflex on the camera. Regardless, they're a starting point.

Hi Alan. I came upon your site when hunting for reviews on Nexstar 8 SE. I'm seriously thinking of getting one. Are all the photos taken through your 8 SE? I read somewhere that the mount & tracking for this scope is not too good for DSO astrophotography. But yours look great. Looking forward to more photos from you.

I take it you are using a DSLR? If so you can use mirror lock-up, that will get rid of your problem.
